Hill Fruit Research Station Murree is apremier research center in the Punjab Province for temperate fruits and is endeavoring hard for the progress and Improvement of plantation of high quality fruit in Murree Hills where apple,avocado, loquat,plum, walnutand other hill fruits are successfully produced.Research work was initiated as progeny garden of apple in 1946 under Prof. of Botany, Agriculture College, Lyallpur (now University of Agriculture, Faisalabad). Itwas upgraded as sub–station in1952and strengthened with nursery at Chharapani(Tret)under the then Fruit Specialist, Faisalabad. Intheyear 1984,itwas upgraded as stationin order to strengthen the ongoing work.
